During his tenure in the Oklahoma House of Representatives, Bryant served as vice chairman of the House Banking and Finance Committee and as vice chairman of the House Republican Caucus. He served as chair of Oklahoma’s Battlefield Preservation Commission and was a member of many high profile conference committees. Bryant served on numerous standing committees in the House including Education, Appropriation and Budget, Rules, Energy and County and Municipal Government. In 2001, he founded John Bryant Consulting, Inc., a governmental affairs consulting firm and has since lobbied on behalf of numerous clients with a myriad of interests. Some of his past and present clients include the Tulsa Metro Chamber, the George Kaiser Family Foundation, Nordam, the Oklahoma Association of Realtors, the University Center of Tulsa Authority, BOK, ResCare, SpiritBank, the Service Contract Industry Council, the Oklahoma Charter Schools Association, the Tulsa Metropolitan Utility Authority, and Cox Communications. A native Oklahoman, Bryant holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Public Administration/Political Science and a minor in History from Oklahoma State University. He has served on the boards of several Tulsa area charitable organizations including the Tulsa Chapter of the American Red Cross, Youth Services of Tulsa, and the Child Abuse Network. He is a member of The Tulsa Metro Chamber of Commerce, the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association, the Tulsa Historical Society and the Oklahoma Historical Society. John Bryant and his wife Latham Christian Bryant live in Tulsa and in order to better serve his clients, they also maintain a residence in Oklahoma City.
